- Overheard on the monitor to Eric his Cabbage Patch when he was supposed to be going to bed, "Do you want to come to my house? We have marshmallows and tigers."
- To me when he was upset, "You're not my favorite girl anymore."
- To me when he was jealous, "I don't want you to hold babies anymore. I want you to drop baby Maya. I want you to gently drop her."
- To me when he wanted to be the only one responding to Maya when she was crying, "No Mommy, I want you to get Maya zero times."
