Last day of Kindergarten

We had such a great first year of public school, with Collin wrapping up kindergarten in early June.
We enjoyed making new friends - even Maya, who through basketball or play dates met and befriended younger siblings of Collin's classmates.  At the last day of school party, she and Morgan were right at home playing in the kindergarten room  -
She loves her brother, running up to hug him as soon as she sees him at school or pre-school -
Collin made so many friends.  It was something we had prayed about a lot before school began, as he only knew one kid from pre-school going to his elementary school and she was in a different class.  We're thankful that he and his "BFF" Finn both enjoyed playing together.  And we'll continue to pray for his friends - even more so as he grows older!
Final hug to his sweet kindergarten teacher and then it's on to summer and first grade!
Collin's kindergarten year was pretty much all we could ask for - from learning to read and studying all kinds of interesting topics, to three field trips and fun school activities, to school-sponsored service projects.  Collin made friends and so did our family with other kindergarten parents.  And best of all, he never told us he didn't want to go to school in the morning (though he wasn't ever jumping out of bed at 6:05am)!
