Though Labor Day weekend was a celebration at not working, we were busy:
Working as a little chef at the Children's Museum restaurant on Friday morning -
Sometimes we worked at our pouty faces when we didn't get our way climbing the structure that was for five-year-old-or-older children -
We worked on our ninja moves, jumping off the rocks into the pool Friday afternoon, with the special treat of having our best friend ride the bus to our home -
We worked on looking big in Daddy clothes with our best friend after swimming -
We worked on our Aggie cheering in our last family of four picture for the weekend before Daddy headed to the airport to meet up with Uncle Alex in Indy -
Working on our pouty manipulation again when our milk is poured in the "wrong" cup -
We worked on packing for Grammy and Brownie's Saturday afternoon - stuffed animals, fighting men and lollipops -
The kids once again worked as chefs, building their own pizza - beginning with rolling out the dough - at a local pizza shop with my best friend and her family -
We worked as engineers, trying to fit three squirmy kids on the slippery orca float -
We worked on our tennis skills with driveway ping pong tennis with Brownie (a game my brother and I once played in the same location) -
We worked on driveway chalk art depicting the day's activities -
We worked on cooling off with ice water buckets on our heads -
We worked on reading EVERY book in Grammy and Brownie's extensive library -
We worked on asking for "one more book" to delay bedtime that much longer -
We worked as a pancake batter maker -
We worked on our dance moves in the office of my parents' home -
We worked on climbing skills during a drizzly morning in the park -
We worked as dog catcher, following the dog, Spot, all over the park -
We worked on spotting turtles and herons along the creek -
We worked on burning energy while cooling off in the splash park -
We worked on finding the balance of splashing but not getting blasted in the face -
We worked on covering the spout of the sprinklers -
And we worked on a dog rescue, taking Spot "the Houdini dog" according to his collar, back to his home across a busy road from the park -
We were hard at work creating wonderful memories of a fun weekend!
